![]() Oh! Now that is a really good interpretation! Nice. I allow a wild shaped druid to command the animals while wild shaped of the wild shaped form is the same as the conjured animals! Like all wolves. Conjure Animals Source: Player's Handbook 3rd-level conjuration Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Components: V, S Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour You summon fey spirits that take the form of beasts and appear in unoccupied spaces that you can see within range. Two fey creatures of challenge rating 1 or lower The DM has the creatures Statistics. It’s such a great spell no matter how the DM/player/table runs it. That way my character will properly know it. What I think I'm going to do, as a means of roleplaying, (working with my DM of course) is to try that, and have it fail. ![]() Giant Insect gives you total control of what you get in addition to giving you more/bigger creatures. You could summon one creature and end up with a single quipper. Whatever the DM gives you is what you get. Just trying to optimize my usage of the spell. 2 Conjure Animal lets you pick the max CR, but not the creatures themselves. ![]() That makes sense, and what I figured would be the case. Generally it has to be a command or set of commands given to all of the animals not broken up or complicated like “Fido you help a billy attack orc number 2 after Lassie locks it down.” That being said, I have the caster need to give the animals constant on going commands. So the animals can’t “attack my enemies” or move into positions for advanced combat tactics and such. Monstrous Compendium Vol 3: Minecraft CreaturesĪs a DM I am very generous with allowing the player to summon whatever they what with the balancing factor of they are just animals. ![]()
